PSV Eindhoven are on the cusp of Eredivisie glory, and it’s largely thanks to a red-hot run of form from USMNT midfielder Malik Tillman. The 21-year-old has emerged as one of the league’s standout performers, lifting PSV to the summit of Dutch football while Ajax’s campaign threatens to unravel in dramatic fashion.

Tillman delivered a statement performance in PSV's 4–1 demolition of Heracles Almelo, netting twice and registering two assists in a commanding display. That contribution not only pushed PSV past Ajax at the top of the standings but also brought his season tally to 10 league goals — a benchmark that helped PSV make history by becoming the first Eredivisie team to have six players reach double digits in a single season.

His recent heroics weren’t limited to Heracles. Against Heerenveen earlier this month, Tillman was electric, scoring two goals and assisting another within just 11 minutes in an 8–0 rout. The former Bayern Munich prospect has seamlessly adapted to life in the Eredivisie, blending physicality with flair and tactical intelligence beyond his years.

Tillman's meteoric rise has coincided with a sharp Ajax decline. Once nine points clear, the Amsterdam club now finds itself chasing PSV following a costly 2–2 draw against FC Groningen — a match that saw them concede a late equalizer in stoppage time. Ajax manager Francesco Farioli is under increasing pressure as the club’s title bid falters.

Another USMNT talent, striker Ricardo Pepi, has also played a key role in PSV’s attacking dominance. Together, Pepi and Tillman have formed a productive American core at the heart of one of Europe’s most exciting sides. Their form has not gone unnoticed, with several Premier League and Bundesliga clubs reportedly monitoring both players closely as the summer transfer window approaches.

For now, however, the focus remains on the title. PSV will secure the Eredivisie crown with a win over Sparta Rotterdam in their final match — a triumph that would cap off a historic season and cement Tillman’s place as one of the brightest American exports in Europe.
