Liverpool Set for Historic Premier League Victory Parade on May 26

Published on Apr 28, 2025

Liverpool Football Club has officially confirmed plans to hold a Premier League title victory parade on Monday, May 26, 2025, following their triumphant capture of a record-equalling 20th English league championship. The celebrations will take place the day after Liverpool's final match of the season against Crystal Palace at Anfield.

This victory parade holds special significance for both the club and its supporters. It will be Liverpool's first opportunity to celebrate a league title with fans since 1990. Although the Reds ended their 30-year title drought in the 2019–20 season, public celebrations were not possible at the time due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the subsequent restrictions on mass gatherings.

The parade is scheduled to begin at 2:30 PM BST and will follow a 15-kilometer route through the city. The route mirrors those used for Liverpool’s previous trophy celebrations in 2019 and 2022. It will start at Allerton Maze in the south of Liverpool, before heading north via Queens Drive, Mill Bank, West Derby Road, Islington, Leeds Street, and The Strand, ultimately concluding at Blundell Street. The entire event is expected to last between three and five hours.

City officials are anticipating large crowds to turn out for the festivities and have encouraged supporters to plan their travel well in advance. Attendees are urged to line the full route to ensure everyone can share in the celebration. For safety reasons, the use of pyrotechnics and flares has been strictly prohibited. The parade will also coincide with Liverpool’s hosting of the Radio 1 Big Weekend music festival, making it one of the city's busiest weekends of the year.

The parade's logistics and organization will be managed by Liverpool City Council’s Culture Liverpool team, who previously earned widespread praise for their work on major events such as Eurovision 2023. Importantly, Liverpool Football Club has agreed to fully cover the costs associated with the parade.

For Liverpool fans, this celebration offers a moment of joy and unity, bringing the city together to finally honor a long-awaited title in person. It promises to be an unforgettable day in what has already been a historic season for the Reds.
