Chido Obi Breaks Through
17-year-old striker Chido Obi announced himself to the senior squad by scoring a brace—first tapping in the equalizer and then heading in the go-ahead goal in the 82nd minute. Ayden Heaven added a third in stoppage time to seal the result.
Obi’s double marked his first senior goals for United and was the highlight of a tour that had otherwise drawn criticism from fans and pundits alike, especially after the 1-0 defeat to the ASEAN All-Stars earlier in the week.
